Here are some things to keep in mind when caring for your snake plant .

Care:
It is a semi-tropical plant and will thrive if kept in a rain forest type of environment. Things to consider are light, moisture, and temperature.

Peak growth season: Spring/Summer

Sun: Bright shade. Avoid placing the plant in direct sunlight Avoid dark corners or areas.

Moisture: Good with humidity or extra dry. Indoors or a greenhouses are ideal locations.
Will need very little water in the winter.
Water with room temperature rain or distilled water for extra pampering. Water in the morning to allow soil to dry more throughly before colder evening temperatures.

Temperature: Keep plant in a room temperature and humid environment. Avoid cold temperatures or drafts. Don’t put by an open window at night or by air vents.

Soil: A peat or coir based soil is recommended. A mixture of peat or coir, some potting soil and some perlite will work. Check your local nursery for similar type of soil.

Propagation: Division. Separate offsets. When time to repot. Repot every two years or so.
