This hard-to-find cactus has a very unique shape. This is a rare cactus that has very few spines. The spines it does get can be long and fierce! Small scars are typical and expected on these cactus and do not effect the health of the plant.

These are rooted specimens currently growing in 4" pots. This cactus ships bare root.

Cactus should be repotted on a warm day, let the roots settle for a day or two in the shade before watering and moving to more sun.

Note: These cacti bruise very easily. Bruises first appear as black bumps and then brown and callous over (end up looking like cork-brown moles). You can see one of these spots on the cactus pictured. We make every effort to not touch and carefully cushion the cactus for shipping, but expect this common occurrence. New, untouched growth will be pristine.

Handling tips: Use kitchen tongs - with rubber covers over the tips - to handle the cactus without scarring them while repotting.

You will receive the plant pictured or one almost identical.

Care:
Peak growth season: Summer
Dormant: Winter
Propagation: Take cuttings during growth season, Spring is ideal. Pot on a warm, sunny day.

Water when soil is dry to the touch. Will require more water in the Summer.

Your succulent will be wrapped with care and shipped with extra padding in the box. Plants can take 1-5 days to prep for shipping and weather can impact the prep time. We ship as quickly as is safe for your plant.

If you will be experiencing below freezing temperatures, please add a heat pack to your order.
